For practices

Start with the money, then show why

The owner gets the answer in a minute. The billing lead gets every claim, remittance and contract rule behind it. Same report, same numbers.

For the owner

Five questions, answered on page one: How much did you find? What kind of problem is it? Is the amount real or still under review? Which payers or workflows caused it? What should we do next?

For the billing lead

Every finding opens to the claim: what was submitted, what the payer allowed, what the contract should have produced, what the payer was responsible for, whether a payment or remittance was found, and what is still missing. Review states — Unreviewed, Needs review, Validated, Pursued, Waiting on payer, Recovered, Closed, Resolved — are recorded with who and when.

What the first report contains

  • Quantified potential financial differences, separated by cause
  • Payment variances that require review
  • Processing gaps that may represent missing revenue, counted rather than guessed
  • Which payers, CPTs, locations, and workflows account for the findings
  • Which findings have been validated
  • Which contracts appear weak even when the payer is following them
  • The claim-level and payment-level evidence behind each material finding
  • Important data gaps that prevent a safe conclusion

What we need from you

An export and the agreements you have

Claims and payments export
From the practice-management system — claims, service lines, postings. 24 months is typical; 12 is enough to start.
Remittances
835 ERA files from the clearinghouse, plus scanned EOBs where payers still mail them.
Payer agreements
The contracts you have, as PDFs. Payers without an agreement on file are benchmarked, not evaluated for compliance.
Bank EFT detail
Optional, but it is what lets a missing payment be called missing rather than unposted.

After the audit

We pursue validated recovery opportunities

Britepath can work from validated findings and track recovery activity from the original claim through any additional remittance or payment received. Each recovery is attributed to the specific claim, remittance and payment that produced it, so every invoiced dollar can be verified.

Commercial terms are set in the engagement agreement.

Request a historical audit
